At 34 years of age, I decided to seek the help of a naturopath for the first time in my life. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for six months without any success. Before this, I had always suffered with very irregular and painful periods which only seemed to be worsening with age. I was later diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), which I was told would make getting pregnant difficult. A fertility specialist recommended that I take Clomid for three months, but after one cycle of taking it and feeling extremely ill from the side effects, I decided that I wanted to take a natural approach first in trying to get pregnant before resorting to fertility treatments.

It was at that time that I decided to contact the Wellness Institute for an assessment. I chose the clinic based on its convenient location, flexible hours, and positive online reviews. From the moment I met with Dr. Rodak, I felt he understood my concerns and knew the exact treatment needed to help my body heal and get pregnant naturally. For the next four months, I personally made changes to my diet in addition to Dr. Rodak’s treatment that consisted of a liver cleanse and gallbladder flush.

As this was my first time seeing a naturopath, I didn’t know what to expect, but soon after beginning my treatment, I couldn’t deny the difference I saw in my health almost immediately. I had more energy at work and no longer found myself tired throughout the day. I had clearer skin and most importantly, I began getting regular periods. With each visit, Dr. Rodak always put my mind to ease by answering all my questions and explaining each treatment thoroughly. I’m excited to say that after seven months since my first appointment with Dr. Rodak, I am now three months pregnant and I believe it is personally from the treatment I received from Dr. Rodak.

It’s through my personal journey that I now understand what naturopathy can do for one’s health. I will continue to be a patient at the clinic and will keep recommending Dr. Rodak and the Wellness Institute to everyone I know.
