Dr. Yu Juan (Jean) Huang, ND, MSc
Dr. Yu Juan (Jean) Huang ND is a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP), the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and is licensed by The College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO). She has a Master’s Degree from the University of China in Oncology and graduated as a Medical Doctor from the University of Medical Science in China.
Dr. Huang, ND graduated from medical school in China in 1995 where she worked as a Medical Oncologist involved in cancer treatment and research for over 7 years. When she came to Canada, Dr. Huang, ND wanted to further her studies in naturopathic medicine. She was accepted and graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). She is now licensed to practice naturopathic medicine in the province of Ontario by CONO and is licensed to practice intravenous infusion therapy (IVIT).
Dr. Huang, ND is also a founding member of the Canadian Chinese Cancer Support Association and has been supporting cancer patients since 2011. She has extensive training in various naturopathic modalities including acupuncture, botanical medicine, nutrition, hydrotherapy, facial rejuvenation acupuncture, aromatherapy and manipulation. With her medical and science background, Dr. Huang, ND is experienced at combining lab results and image test results to help her patients understand the disease process from different perspectives and to optimize the treatment protocol according to her patients’ needs. She believes evidence-based individualized treatment is the best option for her patients.
Dr. Huang, ND has written articles on the treatment of brain metastases in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) which have been published in Medical Journals. In 2010 she did a diagnostic model of cerebrospinal protein fingerprint patterns for brain metastases of NSCLC in the Journal of Southern Medical University.
