Ian Elliott, R.S.T., R.Y.T.
Ian Elliott has been personally involved in holistic practices since 2004. He is a Registered Shiatsu Massage Therapist, having trained under Leny Carbone (C.S.T., R.Ac) at Living Earth Healing Arts, and has been in private practice since graduating in 2009. He is a member in good standing with the Shiatsu Therapy Society of Canada. Ian is also a Registered Yoga Teacher and Movement Educator and has been instructing in these modalities since 2012.
An advocate of the biopsychosocial model of wellness, he believes in the importance of understanding your unique physical, mental, and environmental factors in determining your optimal course of treatment. Working with a principle he coined, “Skilled and Thoughtful Hands”, Ian excels at adapting massage sessions to individual needs, whether it is the release of acute and chronic tensions or restorative techniques to help promote rest and healing.
A “walk the talk” kind of person, Ian believes that a dedicated and consistent self-care regimen is a key part of our well-being and happiness. He is an avid cyclist, runner and weightlifter and enjoys spending his spare time backcountry hiking and camping.
