Michael Rajna
Clinical Therapeutic Herbalist
Michael graduated from the University of Toronto in 2017 with an Honours Bachelors in Biology
and Human Biology, with a strong focus on Health and Disease. After graduating, Michael
pursued his interest in herbal medicines due to his passion for gardening, plant identification,
and the healing benefits that plants offered him and his community. In 2023, Michael
graduated from a Clinical Therapeutic Herbalism post-graduate program at the Institute of
Traditional Medicine. Here, he gained a strong foundation on the clinical applications of herbal
medicine.
Michael uses a very mindful and holistic approach with his clients. He believes in using herbal
medicine as a means to work with the natural functions and systems of the body. In practice, he
works with herbs to encourage the body’s own innate healing abilities. In addition to herbal
medicine, Michael considers nutrition, lifestyle recommendations, and aromatherapy to help
address health concerns and improve overall wellbeing. Some common health concerns that
may be addressed by an herbalist include insomnia, stress, digestive concerns, food
sensitivities, physical healing and recovery, mental and emotional healing along with various
women’s health concerns.
